Manifesto

Email tools were drawn for the click era. Six screens to send one letter. You were not.

No panel to memorise. No drag-and-drop ceremony. One sentence of intent, and a platform that carries it out.

— the shell was always enough.

How it works

Three steps. Then you just talk.

01

Connect

Run the guided setup, then pick MCP, Skill + CLI, or both at once.

02

Prompt

Say what should go out — the agent drafts, segments and schedules with 62 tools.

03

Ship

Read it back, say send, watch the numbers land. No panel tour required.

The platform

Everything a newsletter needs.
Nothing a dashboard demands.

MCP server

Hands Claude, Cursor and any compatible client direct use of 62 organisation-aware Sodium tools.

AI editor

Drafts that keep your cadence, subject lines that get opened, grammar cleared in one pass. The blank page is gone.

Skill + CLI

One setup command teaches your agent the Sodium CLI and keeps every action printed in your terminal.

Workflows

Welcome sequences, drip series, conditional branches. Set the loop once — it runs while you sleep.

Live segments

Filter on behaviour, tags, custom fields, engagement. Write to the readers who lean in, not to the whole list.

Open analytics

Opens, clicks, growth — queryable from the panel, the REST API, or a single line in your shell.

Agent integrations

MCP or Skill + CLI. Your call.

Run one guided command, choose MCP, Skill + CLI, or both, and let your agent reach Sodium from its own native tools.

terminal
$ pnpm dlx sodium setup

Works inside your AI apps.

Use MCP for direct tool access, or install the Sodium skill and CLI with a single guided command.

AI page builder

Describe a page.
Watch it exist.

Landing pages used to cost a weekend. Now they cost a sentence. Talk to the builder, watch the page assemble in live preview, publish when it feels right — versioned, rollback-safe, wired straight into your list.

→ Live preview while it builds → Publish, roll back, iterate → Every visitor lands in your audience

From the makers

Why we built Sodium.

We ran newsletters for years beside the code we shipped. Every platform we tried was either too heavy, too closed, or drawn for a marketing team we did not have.

None of them met us where we already worked. We wanted to run a list from the same shell as the build, not from six browser tabs.

So we wrote Sodium. 62 MCP tools, a full REST API, and an editor that earns its place.

the Sodium team Written collectively. Sodium is a team, not a person.

FAQ

Questions & answers.

What does terminal-first actually mean?
Sodium was drawn for the shell before it was drawn for a browser; 62 MCP tools let Claude, Cursor, Codex or any agent run your list directly. A web panel exists as well, but it is optional, never the path.
How does the MCP integration work?
One guided command writes the server into your client config and stores a scoped token. From then on your agent sees campaigns, segments, workflows and analytics as ordinary tools, with organisation-level permissions applied on every call.
Do I have to be a developer to use it?
No. If you can hold a conversation with an AI assistant, you can run a Sodium list: the agent handles the commands. The CLI and the SDK are there for the people who want them.
What can I do with the 62 tools?
Draft and schedule campaigns, build and refresh segments, manage subscribers and custom fields, arm workflows, verify domains, and read every metric, each one callable in a sentence rather than a screen.
Is the free plan really free?
Yes: 3,000 emails a month, unlimited subscribers, no card. It is not a trial that expires; it is the shape of the product for a small list.
How is Sodium different from the usual platforms?
They price the audience and hide the work behind a panel. Sodium prices the sending, keeps every action scriptable, hosts in the EU, and never charges you for a subscriber who is simply on the list.
