visual-explainer · style catalog
Every value --style accepts, as a specimen — each card shows the palette committed to real hex values, the font pairing, and the flag to copy. The other two tabs hold the commands to spend a style on and the output formats. Hand a name back to the agent, or paste the flag onto any command.
Constrained by intent, not just color — each one carries layout and typography requirements that crowd out generic output. Prefer these.

A real editor scheme, committed to exactly. These fix the palette only — you still choose a font pairing and a layout on top of one.

Where a style gets spent. Five of them take --style, --theme, and the format flags, so any style composes with any command. Two are narrower and say so on the card: /slides takes a style but no format flag, because it is already the format, and /fact-check takes neither — it corrects a document in place rather than generating one, so there is nothing for a style to apply to. The format shown is what the command reaches for on its own — an affinity, not a restriction. Open a section list to see the structure that command emits, taken from its own definition; three of them have no fixed structure and say so. Prefix with handbook-visual-explainer: only if the name collides with another plugin's.
An HTML diagram for any topic — architecture, flow, sequence, schema, state machine. The general entry point.
No fixed outline — the content type picks the layout: diagram, table, timeline or dashboard.
/web-diagram how OAuth works
A visual implementation plan for a feature: phases, files to touch, risks, open questions.
/visual-plan rate limiting
A magazine-quality deck — one viewport per slide. The only command that picks the deck format for you.
No fixed outline — the agent composes a narrative arc for your topic and adds slides until the source is covered.
Takes --style and --theme. No format flag — it is the format.
/slides our caching strategy
Visual diff review: before/after architecture comparison plus a code review of the change.
/diff-review main..HEAD
Reads a plan against the codebase it targets and reports what doesn't line up, with a risk assessment.
/plan-review docs/migration.md
A mental-model snapshot for context-switching back into a project after time away.
/project-recap since last week
Extracts every checkable claim from a document, verifies it against the code, and corrects it in place.
Takes no flags. It edits the document you point it at, so there is no new page for a style or format to apply to.
Edits your document in place — no new page. Appends a summary: claims checked, confirmed, corrected, unverifiable.
/fact-check README.md
A separate axis from style: these set structure, and combine with any style. --handbook --style nord is a document in the Nord palette. The two flags are mutually exclusive — a deck isn't a document.
A scrollable visual page — cards, grids, tables, diagrams. What you get when neither flag is passed.
One viewport per slide, no scrolling within one. Typography 2–3× larger, bolder compositions. Opt-in only — never chosen for you.
--slides
Read top to bottom, then returned to: sticky contents rail, numbered chapters, marginalia. Auto-selected for longform docs.
--handbook
Override a single axis without leaving a style: --palette terracotta+sage, --font fraunces+source-code-pro, --theme dark.
Two values are rejected outright: neon and gradient-mesh. They always produce generic output.
