Description
Captures a timestamped research observation in the activity log without interrupting work. Use for /note, quick observations, ideas, or context that should inform later reviews.

Capture a research note

Append the user's wording to today's **Notes** section in .research/logs/activity.md as - [HH:MM] ..., using local time. If today's entry does not exist, create a minimal entry with **Session focus**: To be completed at wrap-up.

Do not expand or reinterpret the note. Preserve long notes. Ask for text only when empty.

If it clearly describes future work, still record it immediately, then say: Noted. This may also belong in tasks.md. Do not create a task without permission.

Notes are evidence for wrap-up, reviews, and candidate decisions, but they are not themselves authoritative decisions or tasks.
